اولین گزارش زون کنودونتی sinuatus – corrugatus – sulcatus Zone و کاربرد آن در بایواستراتیگرافی کربونیفر پسین ایران

The Darchaleh area is located about ۱۵ km Eastern Shahreza (Southeastern Isfahan). Late Paleozoic sequences (Carboniferous – Permian) in the Darchaleh, Shahreza area are including: quartzitic sandstone, limestone, marly limestone, shale, conglomerate and sandy limestone. A crinoidal bed in the Darchaleh area is present. Conodonts species / subspecies of out this unit are as follow:

Idiognathodus sinuosus Ellison and Graves, ۱۹۴۱

Idiognathodus delicatus Gunnell, ۱۹۳۱

Idiognathodus sp.

Stereptognathodus expansus Igo and Koike, ۱۹۶۴

Idiognathoides sinuatus Harris and Hollingsworth, ۱۹۳۳

Idiognathoides sp.

The presense of these conodonts indicating sinuatus – corrugatus – sulcatus Zone that is related to Late Namurian – Early Westphalian time interval.This unit is reporting as a keybed related to Carboniferous sequences of Iran. The presence of this keybed (Crinoidal unit) in Howz – e – Dorah (Eastern of Iran), and Semnan (North of Iran) confirms that , this unit can be used as a high resolution tool  in the Namurian to Westphalian time interval (Carboniferous) in Iran.
