A Melbourne-based resources company has applied for an exploration licence to investigate brown coal seams south of Heyfield.Regal Resources wants to undertake a review of the area, including geological mapping and drilling works.It applied to the Department of Primary Industries last month and has advertised the move in Gippsland newspapers to allow for objections.
