The Geomedicine studies the relation between diseases to geological situation of regions.

Farah Rahmani, the expert of Geological Survey of Iran and the executor of national project of geomedicine researches center in an interview with the public relations of the GSI said: “ The geology studies the problems and features existing on the earth and preparing geomedicine map in different areas of Iran is essential to study the relation of illness with geographical condition of geology. Studying geomedicine science is necessary to prevent causing chronic diseases because all elements of the earth are entered to the human body and influence on it after a long time.

“Considering geographical medicine , the geomedicinel indicates that the environment causes many human illnesses in various regions of the world by genes that they are achieved from a race to other races.
