A diamond inset in the face portion of a bit.  
 Wall-rock Halo   

A dispersion pattern formed in the rock adjoining mineral deposits where the chemical composition has been modified by the ore-forming fluids. 
 Tabular Deposit   

A flat tablelike or stratified bed; e.g., a coal seam.  
 Vulcanites   

A general name for igneous rocks of fine grain size, normally occurring as lava flows, and thus in direct contrast with plutonites.
