Airborne geophysics 

Airborne  geophysics  project  is  one  of  in  progress  projects  of  geological  survey  of  Iran. Although  mentioned  project  is  one  of  the  most  modern  projects  of  this  organization  and  has  been  started  since  less  than  one  year  ago, but  in  a  short  time  has  been  able  to  get    remarkable  targets. When  the  opinion  of  using  airborne  geophysics  methods   was   propounded  in  Iran, this  matter  was  appeared  hard  and  even  impossible  in  mind  of  many  people. Among  problems  of  using  this  method  in  Iran  is  buying  and  importing  airborne  geophysics  devices  to  Iran, in  addition  to  high  price  of  mentioned  systems, we  are  boycott. Although  Iranian  people  know  that((when there is a will, there is a way)), with  God  help  and  effort  and  stability  of  involved  people   in  project  in  this  organization, required  fields  have  been  prepared  to  have  a  contract  with  Canadian  company(Fugro) for  buying  equipment  little  by  little  and  after  that  have  been  imported  required  hard wares  to  our  country  so that  Iran  be  the  first  country  in  Middle  East  that  gets  technology  and  airborne  geophysics  science  by  use  of  helicopter(HEM). After  importing  equipment  and  start  of  project, operational  instruction  and  information  process   have  been  implemented  simultaneously  and  in  direction  of  access  to  aim  of  transferring  technology  that  to  consider  for  durability  principle  in  instruction, it  has  been  continued  in  several  phases  later. The  first  phase  of  this  project  has  been  implemented  with  presence  of  Canadian  experts  and  at  the  second  phase, surveying  data  has  been  implemented  by  Iranian  personnel  completely. Now  major  part  of  data  process  is  implemented  by  personnel  of  geological  survey  too  and  with  completion  of  surveyed  data, also  interpretation  process  of  airborne  geophysics  data  will  be  accomplished  by  this  organization. At  present, airborne  geophysics  project  is  doing  under  the  care  of  geometrics  management  of  geological   survey  and  has  attracted  the  opinion  of  many  people  as  many  of  them  follow  its  development  from  near.

Implemented  projects

Up  to  now, two  projects  like  this  have  been  done  in  Iran  that  first  of  them  done  in  Moalleman  area, 120 kms  from  south  of  Dameghan, with  presence  of  Canadian  and  Iranian  experts  that  during  it, was  surveyed  the  data  of  1575  linear  kilometers. In  this  project, the  methods  of  EM  or  electromagnet  or  magnet  sensing  and  radio metrics  or  gamma  radiometrics  were  used  simultaneously. At  the  second  phase  of  this  project  that  only  was  presented  Iranian  operator, were  surveyed  the  data  more  than  4000  linear  kilometers  totally  with  the  three  mentioned  methods.
