The November dispatches numbers reflect the strong volume growth the industry has been witnessing of late. In the last three months, the industry has shown a double-digit volume growth which has resulted in a year-till-date (YTD) volume growth of 7.2%. According to the official CMA data, cement dispatches have grown by a healthy 10% from 9.33 million tonne (MT) in November 2003 to 10.2MT in November 2004. This supports our view that the industry will achieve a strong growth in volumes in the second half of FY2005.
