Abstract:
Posht-e-Badam Metamorphic Complex (PMC) has at least undergone two ductile deformations of D1 and D2, contemporaneous with the progressive metamorphism of M1 and M2. These deformations were accompanied with the syn-tectonic granitoid emplacement of Anarg as well as Chamgo-Esmailabad Plutons, respectively. Emplacements of the granitoids are reinforced with the appearance of syn-D1 cordierite, syn-D2 andalusite, and syn- to post-D2 starulite and garnet porphyroblasts. Due to retrograde metamorphism of M3, pseudomorphs of actionlite, chlorite, epidote, and calcite have replaced the high P-T of M2 such as green hornblendes and ca-rich plagioclases. Intracrystaline deformational and dynamic recrystallization of minerals of PBC rocks occurred in the D3 brittle-ductile shear zones.
