13 genera (13 species ) of acritarchs are recovered from the middle part of lashkarak Fm.at the top of the lashkarak mountain peak (located at southwest of chalus and south of Alani-kuh ) , Central Alhorz mountain range in north of Iran, that suggest Arenigian to Llanviernian?. Appearance of the same species of Coryphidium genus in this area, and sriatotheca and coryphidiurn genera in the other sites of Central Alhorz ( such as Fashand and Angooran )
indicate that this part of Iran was located in Gondwana acritarch basin, in cold climate zone and high latitudes of south hemishere as well as reporting 6 genra ( 8 species ) of acritarchs and prasinophytes and 5 genera (5 species) of spores from the upper part ( no reported fossil ) of lashkarak formation. The age changes from Ordovician to late Devonian?— Tournaisian. Also 7 genera (l species ) of foraminifera and 2 genera (2 species) of corals are identified by Keshani and Khaksar for upper formation ( Mobarak Fm. ), whereby the age of visean is established for that.
