General:
A few endemic taxa of Iran and North Gondwana, were revealed from a very rich chondrichthyan collection in Famennian shallow- waters of Iran. Also, some new shark teeth have been recovered from Bashi and Dalmeh sections (northeastern Ardekan) and Chahriseh locality (northeastern Esfahan).
The presence of these remains in the Early and Late Famennian
(crepida and expansa Zones based on conodont dating) can be considered as some key horizons in Central Iran. These rich faunas can present and evaluate biostratigraphic and chondrichthyan-based biofacies models which are similar to the data obtained by conodonts
