General:
The brachiopods of Late Devonian (Frasnian) in the 60 Km North of Kerman (Hojedk area) were studied. The thichness of Bahram formation in this area is 141 metre, and its lithology is limetone, many limestone, shale and quartizic sandstone.
In this study, 15 genera, 31 species and 3 subspecies were recognized and classified in two biozones (I & II).
The biozone I, consists 9 species and 2 subspecies, and two species (Spinatrypina chitralensis & Cyrtospirifer is more abundant than the other species kermanensis). The age of this biozone is MiddFrasnian. The biozone II has 23 species and subspecies that the two species Athyris chitralensis & Cyrtospirfer schelonicus is more abundant than the others. The age of biozone II based on the index brachiopods is Middle Frasnian- Late Frasnian
